A literary agent, two best-selling authors, an editor, and a digital strategist recently launched Career Authors, a free writing resource and a new online community for writers.

The website publishes three new posts a week on a wide range of topics: craft, genre, publishing, and marketing. Career Authors also publishes a newsletter.

Laura DiSilverio, best-selling author of suspense novels and mystery series, described Career Authors as an “exciting new adventure where we’ll share and learn about all aspects of the craft of writing and the publishing world.” She made the comment in an email that accompanied the inaugural issue of the newsletter.

Career Authors was created by DiSilverio, Paula Munier, literary agent at Talcott Notch Literary Services and author of several writing books; Hank Phillippi Ryan, award-winning and best-selling mystery author and an investigative reporter for Boston’s WDH-TV; Dana Isaacson, a freelance editor and former Penguin Random House editor; and Glenn Miller, digital strategist and author consultant.

The group’s motto: Let’s become better writers and sell more books!

Munier, Ryan, and DiSilverio are frequent speakers and teachers at national conferences, including the recent Writers Digest Annual Conference in New York, which I attended. Visiting Career Authors and reading its newsletter serve as a continuation of my learning experience. And unlike a one-time conference, this new platform is always available for free.

Check out Career Authors now and be sure to subscribe to the free newsletter.
